Brian Shear

Mr. Shear has practiced as a business litigator in federal and state courts in CA and throughout the US for over 30 years. His practice encompasses complex business litigation in the areas of insurance coverage, professional malpractice, employment, real estate, securities, corporate governance and aviation.

Mr. Shear attended UCLA, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He studied law at Oxford University in England and obtained his Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and received American Jurisprudence Awards for Evidence and Corporations.

Miao "Mia" Jin

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Ms. Jin has practiced as a business immigration attorney for a decade. Her practice encompasses all kinds of work visas, employment-based immigration, removal defense, complex family-based immigration as well as naturalization. Since joining the firm in 2022, Ms. Jin has successfully handled numerous personal injury cases, including car accidents, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Furthermore, she actively engages in complex litigation, such as mass torts cases involving juvenile hall sexual abuse and wildfire.

Ms. Jin has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2012 and a member of the California State Bar since 2018. She is also authorized to practice law in China.

Tina joined Becker Law Group in April 2017 as a member of the Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Practice Group. Tina is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Tina has worked as a paralegal since 2010, primarily in the areas of personal injury, criminal law, immigration law and civil litigation. Tina provides direct support including discovery, management of medical records, and trial preparation.

Tina enjoys traveling and spending time with family & friends.
