Becker Law Group founder Todd Becker recently spoke with ABC7 Los Angeles about the continuing impact of the Lineage warehouse fire in Boyle Heights and the legal rights of affected residents, workers and businesses.
The June 17 fire at the approximately 500,000-square-foot cold-storage facility sent smoke and ash into surrounding communities. In the weeks that followed, residents reported persistent odors, pests, health concerns and disruption associated with spoiled food and ongoing cleanup operations. Air-quality regulators subsequently issued multiple notices of violation related to odors affecting the surrounding community.
“Disasters like this don’t end when the flames are extinguished,” Becker said. “The smoke clears, but families are often left with unanswered questions about their health, their property and their future. Companies responsible for creating these risks must be held accountable, and communities deserve transparency every step of the way.”
Becker Law Group is working alongside ACTS LAW and Keosian Law LLP to investigate the incident and represent people and businesses that may have suffered harm connected to the fire and its aftermath. Potential losses may include physical symptoms, smoke or ash damage, cleanup expenses, displacement, lost income, business interruption and insurance disputes.
